1980s Ferrari Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix Cap

A rare piece of 1980s Australian motorsport memorabilia, this red satin Ferrari cap was produced as officially licensed merchandise for the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix.

The cap features an embroidered Ferrari shield on the front, oversized gold Ferrari lettering across the peak and a distinctive braided gold cord around the crown. The vivid red satin construction and bold graphics give it the unmistakable character of early Formula 1 promotional merchandise.

The original interior labels remain intact, including the official licensing label identifying the cap as an “Officially Licensed Product – Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix”. The label also states that it was made in Taiwan and designed in Australia.

CONDITION

Good vintage condition with visible signs of age and previous use.

The satin fabric has some creasing and general signs of age. The gold Ferrari lettering across the peak has noticeable wear and fading, consistent with its age. The original Ferrari embroidery, braided cord and interior labels remain intact.
